Comments Importance of a Tripod
![]() |
Point and shoot digital camera is preferred by most of the average home photographers. This type of digital camera enables them to capture great images and also allows them to choose a suitable scene mode for automatic exposure and shutter speed adjustments.
However, in some shooting situations, the amateur home photographer may encounter certain problems like blurred image due to poor handling of the camera. Here comes the use of a camera tripod, which is an important gear to ensure hassle free photography.
A camera tripod finds its best use in the night time shots. The natural lighting is reduced during dusk or at night. In this case, a flash is perhaps not a good tool to use because it is limited in its range. Hence, in order to get more light, the exposure has to be adjusted and the shutter speed turned into the night mode setting. Slow shutter speed leads to more camera shake and unwanted blurring. Taking shots using a tripod will be very useful here. This will reduce camera shakes and thus improve picture quality.
Close up shots of objects increases the risk of blurring. Using a camera tripod will be extremely useful because it will reduce unwanted movement of the camera.
If you want to take self portrait shots, all you need to do fix your camera in the tripod, set the timer and then take your shot. The tripod provides a steady surface for the camera.
A tripod is a tool that turns ordinary pictures into clear and outstanding images. So, make the best use of camera tripod and enjoy your home photography experience!
