The latest addition to Hasselblad’s H-series is the H3DII-50.The Hasselblad H3DII-50 camera system is made for high end commercial photographer with high demands on both ultimate image quality and flexibility.H3DII-50 is a monstrous 50 megapixel camera with 48-mm Kodak sensor .This enables the camera to capture per frame in 1.1 seconds.  Nikon, the big name among the camera makers have rolled out its latest model camera. The latest of the band of sophisticated cameras is Nikon COOLPIX P6000. Unlike other models, this digital camera has a built-in GPS, which makes it unique from rest of the models.
The COOLPIX P600 with 13.5 mega pixel resolution and picturetown connectivity has already found a fine market among the photography lovers. Apart from these two features, it also has Nikon’s very own EXPEED image processing concept.In the words of Bill Giordano, general manager marketing, COOLPIX for Nikon Inc the company is eager to know the response of the market towards this high brand digital camera. The integration of new capabilities for the COOLPIX cameras is the result of the demands of the consumers for a camera with all sophisticated features. He expressed hope that this model also will reap better profit like the predeceasing models from Nikon. The P6000 not only provides expanded creative control for photo enthusiasts but also at the same time empower them with the GPS function and my picturetown connectivity.
The GPS function is something amazing. It makes this model stand out of the competing models. With the help of this feature, the user can geotag the location from where the best shots were taken. Pinpointing the location via images through Nikon’s ViewNX software will be an easy task. The camera also features new NRW (RAW) that provides the additional editing options.  Point and shoot digital camera is preferred by most of the average home photographers. This type of digital camera enables them to capture great images and also allows them to choose a suitable scene mode for automatic exposure and shutter speed adjustments. However, in some shooting situations, the amateur home photographer may encounter certain problems like blurred image due to poor handling of the camera. Here comes the use of a camera tripod, which is an important gear to ensure hassle free photography.
A camera tripod finds its best use in the night time shots. The natural lighting is reduced during dusk or at night. In this case, a flash is perhaps not a good tool to use because it is limited in its range. Hence, in order to get more light, the exposure has to be adjusted and the shutter speed turned into the night mode setting. Slow shutter speed leads to more camera shake and unwanted blurring. Taking shots using a tripod will be very useful here. This will reduce camera shakes and thus improve picture quality.

 Manufacturers are choosing to label their digital cameras with the total (optical x digital) zoom which is confusing the consumers. Total zoom is actually the combination of Optical Zoom and Digital Zoom.
In this article, we discuss about the optical zoom vis-à-vis digital zoom. Read on.
Optical zoom uses the lens (optics) of the camera to bring the subject closer.
On the other hand, digital zoom is not exactly zooming. Digital zoom enlarges a portion of the image, ‘stimulating’ optical zoom.
Optical zoom doesn’t affect the picture quality whereas, when a picture is enlarged by digital zoom, the image loses its quality.
Higher optical zoom is beneficial for your camcorder. This is because; a higher optical zoom will produce clearer pictures. The pictures are enlarged by the actual lenses. This allows you to capture a video from farther distance effectively, without affecting the quality of the pictures.
On the other hand, a digital zoom enlarges a picture, but reduces the overall picture quality. The picture is artificially enlarged by the digital zoom (hence the name “digital”).
However, we should not strictly ignore digital zoom. It is perhaps an inevitable part of all digital cameras. By zooming digitally in camera, you get to see what your subject is doing and thus can capture the shot at the right moment.
