Comments Wine Refrigerators Help in Storing Wine Perfectly
![]() |
Everyone among us is familiar with refrigerators. For us it is something that keeps perishable food cool and fresh. Now we have wine cooler refrigerators, or wine refrigerators. These are obviously used to store bottles of wine. But are you wondering how exactly do these differ from normal refrigerators? The temperature in the normal kitchen refrigerator is too cold for storing wines. The frequent opening and closing of the refrigerator door cause the temperature to fluctuate. Limited space could be a big problem in a kitchen refrigerator.
The wines must be stored horizontally so as to keep the corks moist and to prevent them from drying out. This makes kitchen refrigerators not a fine choice.A wine refrigerator performs a similar process of cooling as a conventional refrigerator. But it is specially designed to store wines at a pre-set temperature. It is larger than a wine cooler and can store a larger volume of wines. It is a known fact that the red and white wines need to be kept at different temperatures. The controls on a wine refrigerator will allow you to program temperatures to suit the selection of red, white or sparkling wines.
A few new model wine refrigerators have a feature that allows setting the wine refrigerator to temperatures matching the temperatures and atmospheric conditions under which the wine was made. This feature is not really of much use for persons storing more than one type of wine. There are a lot of benefits of having your own wine cooler refrigerator. Vibration can be detrimental to wines, with the normal compressor-type kitchen refrigerator likely to disturb the natural sedimentation process each time the refrigerator starts a cooling cycle. Compressor-type wine refrigerators are fitted with vibration dampers to eliminate the vibration effects. Thermoelectric refrigerators don’t have compressors. So they provide vibration-free and silent storage for the wines.
