 Generally speaking, watch phones are rarely useful. Not so much because of lackluster hardware or incompatible drivers, but due to the fact that no one with any dignity will ever be caught wearing one.
We all know that watch phones can be pretty ugly, pretty big and just pure and simple useless, well it seems maybe those days are over because we have found a really decent looking one that even I would wear.
For a wristwatch to be considered truly geeky it should have one of two things - the ability to play audio and video or some kind of communication functionality (like a built-in cell phone). Well, you can definitely put a big bold check mark in the “yes” column for the Metallic Video Watch with OLED Screen. The all new Di Grisogono Meccanica DG is a digital display watch that is mechanically operated. The watch consists of 651 pieces and there are no digital parts or LEDs. It shows tens of hours, single hours, tens of minutes and, of course, single minutes. The whole system is displayed via mobile micro segments driven by an accumulation of 23 cams attached to a set of gears and a starting and synchronization system. The necessary information about the time is showed by a system of 23 horizontally and vertically positioned micro segments.
What’s more? The horizontal segments are 2.90 mm in length and their weigh is just 10 milligrams. At the same time, vertical segments measure 9 mm high, but the weight is 25 milligrams. The segments feature four sides: two opposing visible sides featuring multicolored strips and the other sides are unmarked. Time changes depend on 90° rotations of the segments.
All these features make the watch make it the world’s most complicated digital-analog watch. So if sophistication is your statement, I am sure that you will get your hands on this truly mechanical DG!

 Mobile phones and I-pods are a normality in this age of globalization. Just image what would happen when your watch does the same thing as your mobile phone or I-pod would do. Till today, people have used watches to look at time, but with this new gizmo, time is the last thing the watch will show. With a giant screen attached to your wrist, you can often look stupid, but if you are intend to carry it off then rest assure, this will fit you well. It might look stupid to carry a giant screen on your arm and it would definitely not feel right, but if you decide to flow against the crowd and be ‘different’ then you need to get your hands on this gadget.
