Sharper’s Laser Baseball
America’s favorite pastime has become more ingenious with the new Laser Ball. Sharper Image’s laser baseball looks and feels just like a regulation baseball, but with a high-tech twist.
The Laser Ball is a normal baseball, with the same look, size, shape, and weight of a regulation baseball but built with the state-of-the-art electronics right inside, the laser baseball clocks the speed of your pitch and displays it in MPH on an embedded LCD screen.
Easy to use, all that needs to be done is to set the ball to the desired distance by selecting from 8 preset distances. Presets range from 20 to 80 feet including the official Major League pitching distance of 60.5 feet. And if you’re not sure how far you’re pitching, the Laser Ball comes with a measuring string. After you’ve set your distance simply give the ball a throw. As soon as it leaves your hand the countdown begins and stops when the ball is caught. The Laser Ball will measure speeds of up to 120 miles per hour.
