A social security number will be asked by the carrier prior to the contract in order to perform a credit check. Make sure that you don’t have a bad credit otherwise you will be either denied the service or asked to pay a hefty sum as deposit.
Termination fee for breaking the contract:
If you want switch over to another carrier, you will have to pay a contract termination fee. Sometimes the penalty fee crosses $250.
Sign another contract to upgrade the handset:
Upgrading a handset demands signing another fresh contract with the carrier. The carrier may even charge you full price on the new replacement handset.
