Like any high-wattage appliance, the portable air conditioner shouldn’t share a circuit with other powerful electrical devices. If a vehicle is used to transport the item then you should carefully place down some towels to prevent the fabrics from spoiling, in case of any leakage.  The best way to carry and place a machine in the car is to keep it in an upright position. If the machine does not fit into the vehicle in this way, then place it on its back. But be very careful as the water may leak onto electrical parts, potentially causing a lot of damage.
