Nikon vs Canon
![]() |
Nikon , a huge name in the world of digital SLR’s has unleashed its spanking new DSLR, the D60. Moreover, it’s seeking to attain the budget end of the top-notch snapper market.
It has a 10.2-meg sensor, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, vibration sensor cleaning and a body that comes in even slimmer than its older version the D40. Indeed, the D60 will be taking over the D40’s duties as Nikon’s flagship low ender.
There’s no Live View to be had here, so you’ll have to do with sticking your face right up to the camera if you want to see what’s going on. That is what makes it a bit cumbersome. So perhaps the new Canon 450D might be a better bet.
It’s due to be available somewhere around February, clocking in at £449 for the body only. Stick on a lens and you will end up dishing out either £499 or £529 depending upon the zoom lens you want.
